November 2014 – Some of our homeschoolers were part of a team that participated in the First Lego League competition in Cape Town in Nov 2014 and the team won the trophy for the best programme.
January 2014 This term we have been privileged to be able to enrol our children in Robotics classes, which are sponsored by the Enlighten Trust in Zwelihle.
 
A bunch of our boys and a couple of girls are attending the course every Wednesday afternoon.
They work in groups of two or three, following instructions provided on a laptop for each group, and build the most amazing constructions, which they can then programme to perform certain functions.
The classes are overseen by personnel from the Enlighten Trust and each week a homeschooling parent also stays to help supervise the kids.
